22nd April 1855 which is the 5th of the present reign

The true translation of the descriptive catalogue or list of the articles of the royal present accompanied the Royal Communication & concerned at the end part thereof, written in Siamese Characters in the other paper accompanied herewith.

1. The customary royal address written or engraved in golden plate of 15 foungs weight and 4 ticals less 1 eighth thereof made in like manner of Siamese pamphet cemented with small royal sealed paper on forepart & back & cemented with the piece of paper stamped with the royal seal of the present reign at the ending page & bottom where sign of royal manual script in English character appeared. Set & draped in the golden envelope or draper of 6 5/8 foungs weight & stamped with royal seal in gilt wax tied with red silk string and set in oval golden box of 18 ticals weight surrounded with camphor for protection or prevention (of being corrupted if the royal letter be paper etc.) and covered with golden internal cover upon the golden box of camphor of 3 ticals weight set for adding in protection & respect to the sovereign when royal letter addressed to and whole golden box set in the bag of Indian gilt cloth sealed with royal stamps (in shape of Elephant) 1 for the present reign.

2. The golden card case containing two golden plates where the royal manual signs appeared in writing & engraving and common cards of the royal letter for respectful compliment to Her Majesty & His Royal Highness the prince consort respectively & the other two common cards for eldest royal children.

3. Two or a pair of royal rings headed with best calcyes which were productive of Northern Law country dependent to Siamese authority ornamented with some diamond set in a golden box or case covered with artificial blue stone surrounded with some diamonds.

This case or box was oblong octagonal shaped as well as the royal letter box was oval.

4. A golden pencilcase with golden pen pointed with hard platin headed with diamond, manufactured by best goldsmith native thereof.

5. A pocket inkstand made of gold & screwed with the pens' case colored engraved headed with ruby manufactured by a considerable manufacturer of Siam.

6. Two papers printed in lethographic press (just introduced to Siam) in the figures of likeness of the White She Elephant just apprehended & brought here, (which all English officers came on this mission did witnessed with their eyes.) Kept in, gilt case in which a branch of the body hairs of the said Elephant made in golden bundle accompanied.

The presenter desire eagerly Her Majesty acceptance for witnessing some Siamese considerable, industries and these articles would be perhaps sometime set at great exhibition as like as ever has been in the year 1851.
